Our clients wanted to create a contemporary family home that combined generous living spaces with a strong sense of privacy and connection to the landscape. Their vision was for a bold, modern house with carefully arranged spaces for everyday family life, entertaining and relaxation.
A key part of the brief was to maximise natural light and create a seamless relationship between the interior and garden. Large areas of glazing, covered terraces and outdoor seating areas were therefore central to creating a home that felt open, spacious and closely connected to its surroundings.

Our Solution
TThe design was developed around a series of carefully composed volumes, allowing the house to feel substantial while maintaining a strong relationship with the surrounding landscape. Large areas of floor-to-ceiling glazing were positioned across the main living spaces to maximise natural light and create uninterrupted views towards the garden. Covered terraces and deep roof overhangs provide shade and shelter, extending the living areas outdoors and allowing the house to be used comfortably throughout the year. A restrained palette of dark render, natural stone, metal detailing and warm timber elements gives the property a contemporary architectural character while keeping the different parts of the building visually connected. The internal layout was organised around generous open-plan family and entertaining spaces, while more private rooms were positioned within the upper volumes. Landscaping, courtyards and outdoor seating areas were integrated into the overall design to create a calm and cohesive family home.
On the upper floor, the layout was carefully arranged to create more private and comfortable spaces for the family. Generous bedrooms, ensuite facilities and well-positioned openings were integrated into the design to provide privacy while maintaining a strong connection with natural light and the surrounding landscape.
The project also made full use of the property's generous footprint by introducing additional family and leisure spaces alongside the main living areas. Through careful planning, proportion and material selection, the design balances everyday functionality with a strong contemporary architectural character, creating a home tailored closely to the lifestyle and requirements of our clients.
